West Middleton Lutheran Church offers two inspiring worship opportunities each weekend. Worship is key to supporting our mission where we are powered by Word, Sacrament, and Spirit to be Jesus' work force in the world.
Evening at 6:00 p.m.
Our Thursday night service ministers to our community members who work or otherwise cannot attend services on Sunday mornings. These services are an abbreviated version of our Sunday service.
Using the historic outline of Gathering, Word, Prayer, Meal and Sending this worship service includes a variety of classic and praise hymns to build our faith. This service also features a variety of musical talent, including the WMLC Choir and Pioneer Praise Team. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
Musical Opportunities at WMLC
Singers of all ages are invited to be a part of WMLC's music ministry. Choir practice takes place on Thursday evenings at 6:45 p.m. No auditions, ever, and no experience is necessary.
Pioneer Praise Team
Share your vocal and/or instrumental musical talents with the Praise Team. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:45 p.m., and praise songs are often included at Sunday morning services. Contact the church office for more information.

Congratulations on your engagement! At West Middleton Lutheran Church we wish to help you in the building up of your marriage in a faithful way. To help you get started in your marriage in a positive way we strongly recommend premarital counseling as a key preparation for your wedding day.
Please plan on contacting the church at least four months prior to your wedding date. This will allow things to go more smoothly.
The premarital counseling sessions normally involve four one hour sessions. We also need to schedule one session for planning your wedding service. First, these sessions will also give us an opportunity to get to know one another, and this will make for a much better wedding ceremony. Second, it will enable you to discuss issues that will play a central role in your marriage -- common values, hopes and dreams, children, religious background and spiritual convictions. Third, it will enable you to talk about marriage in general and your wedding service in particular. Remember, your wedding is the start of a life-long commitment, and you want to build a strong foundation. Please contact the church office for more information and our complete wedding policies and planning brochure. Contact our church office with questions.
Baptism is God’s gift of overwhelming grace. Baptism is a once in a life-time event and is available to persons of all ages. Preparing for such a gift requires a time of instruction and nurture in the faith for a life of discipleship. To live a life of faith in Jesus Christ we welcome both individuals and the children of active Christian parents to this great sacrament. We encourage sponsors to assist those being baptized both as they prepare for baptism and as they become Jesus’ disciples. We look forward to your or your child’s baptism as we gather together with the congregation for the celebration of Baptism within the worship life of West Middleton Lutheran Church. Contact our church office if you are interested in this life giving and changing sacrament.
